N.C. Air National Guard Change of Authority Ceremony

The North Carolina Air National Guard will hold a change of authority ceremony at the 145th Airlift Wing, 4930 Minuteman Way, Charlotte, on Feb. 8, 2015 at 1 p.m.

Airmen of the 145th will honor the outgoing North Carolina Air National Guard Command Chief, Command Chief Master Sergeant Bruce G. Pickett and welcome the incoming North Carolina Air National Guard Command Chief, Command Chief Master Sergeant Michael D. Stanley.

Command Chief Master Sergeant Michael Stanley, a native of Salisbury, will advise the North Carolina Adjutant General and the Assistant Adjutant General-Air on matters influencing the health, welfare, morale and effective utilization of the state’s more than 1,200 enlisted airmen. He is the highest ranking enlisted member of the N.C. Air National Guard.

N.C. Guard Soldiers Deploy for Spartan Shield

The 120th has been deployed twice into Iraq in 2004 and 2009. The experience they gained during that time in the context of building relationships, assisting with training of multinational forces and ultimately supporting the regions in which they served will be vital to their success in Operation Spartan Shield.

The 120th is preparing to deploy to Jordan soon.
